Slow Flow and Acupuncture Class

20.00

How does getting acupuncture at the end of a yoga session work, perfectly, of course. By moving the body slowly and mindfully through the yoga class, with a focus on gentle yet deep breathing, you will begin the process of moving the energy of the body. After the movement piece is complete and during a lengthy Shavasana, an acupuncturist will circle around the class and place needles in your ears. As you rest, the medicine will do its work, further nurturing, deepening and balancing participants. You'll leave class feeling grounded, connected and pretty blissed out.  If you've never had acupuncture before, this will be a gentle and minimal experience and a wonderful introduction to the therapy. The local acupuncturist, Lindsay Matthews, L.Ac owns River City Wellness out on the east end. She has been in practice for 11 years now and is excited about the combination of acupuncture after yoga.

Free up for your Friday night for a yoga flow unlike any other. Come explore and grow your practice with a style of yoga that includes a little sweat, breath and movement, and most important flowing freely to energizing music.

This class is designed to break the mold of traditional yoga classes and combines heat, restoration, and a good beat. Mel Simon is a registered 200 Hour Instructor and has also been teaching Barre3 for over 2 years where she was certified in Portland, Oregon.
